Adam & Lianne
Get to know us!
We are a simple couple in our 30s who met while teaching in South Korea, but hail from hometowns only an hour away in NY/NJ, USA. We met in 2013 as teachers through the English Program in Korea (EPIK). We played ping pong and ate ice cream one July evening and have been practically inseparable since.
We've traveled quite a bit together - all around Asia and Australia as well as three years serving as Peace Corps volunteers in rural Zambia. We were fortunate enough to have stayed in many homes around the world via CouchSurfing, homestays, and help exchanges. Staying in a home with locals gives even more meaning to travel, connecting us with the area and people more than staying in any hotel might.
As we travel slowly, we are seeking a great place to eventually "settle" where we might homestead and welcome travelers via a "farmstay" sort of experience.
We housesat all around Australia for a year as well as a few in Thailand - you can read some of our references and experiences here, as well as our individual CouchSurfing references - Lianne's and Adam's.

Adam's grateful he could say his 20s were a debt-free decade "traveling with intention through work with meaning." (And he believes it's time we make it possible for more young people to be able to say the same.) So he's slowly working on a book to share his story, with hopes to inspire reform of the United States' broken student loan debt issues. More about that at AdamGreenberg.com.
While traveling, Adam primarily works with authors as a book editor. He also enjoys helping people improve their information security, listening to podcasts and audiobooks at an accelerated speed, hanging out with dogs (and now cats too), playing chess, and making time for the guitar. |
Hello! I'm Lianne, but I also go by "Yoon Hee". I was born in South Korea, but adopted to an American family where I grew up. I'm a very simple person who finds joy and gratitude in the smallest of things.
I'm always learning new skills and have too many interests! My consistent hobbies are studying Korean, listening to podcasts, gardening, bicycling, cooking vegetarian meals from scratch, fermenting and preserving food, gymnastics, thrifting, and playing chess. I am quite resourceful and go through great lengths to reduce waste and material consumption. While on the road, I write about travel and my adoption story at LianneBronzo.com. |
